Background

Since 2002, Drake has been the industry leader in designing and innovating technical hunting and fishing apparel and accessories. Drake offers hunters and anglers high-quality technical apparel, footwear, and field accessories essential for waterfowl hunters, deer and big game hunters, turkey hunters, freshwater anglers, and upland bird hunters

They have worked with us for a long time, and as soon as we saw the release of Shopify 2.0, we knew that we had to implement them on their site.

Challenge

Seasonal Messaging

Drake uses checkout messages to relay timely and seasonal messages regarding shipping times or when the warehouse might be closed and that there may be an expected delay here or there.  This of course, could only be done through Scripts and was not very user-friendly, meaning any small change needed to be sent to a developer to take care of.

Redeeming Loyalty Points (Yotpo)Issues that tended to effect redeeming loyalty points and although minor of course effected the most important clients so this needed to be addressed immediately.

Solution

Our dev team took a deep dive into the new Shopify 2.0 documentation and they came up with an app that Drake’s team can use from their admin panel to show whatever message they wanted to clients at checkout. They also integrated the Yotpo Checkout UI Extension to show a Dropdown Menu module (Fixed-Amount/Percentage Coupons).
