Melinda’s Scaling Spice Sales with a Modern Tech Stack and Shopify Development
Melinda's is a family business founded by the Figueroa brothers. They are not a regular spicy sauce brand because they are crazy obsessed with freshness and quality. They ensure their sauces have the best quality chili peppers you can find and have an unparalleled match of heat and flavor.
This formula led them to become a successful brand, and as such, it was time to boost their website to get even more customers.
We had to overcome different challenges to get their new site done:
We did several things to get their new site to the next level in record time.
The project team shared tasks effectively and kept a record of all the data migration processes to make sure nothing got lost in the transition.
We used Okendo to show their reviews in an easier-to-scan way for users. We used Recipe Kit to migrate the recipes.
The biggest challenge was giving the products a new structure. We created new categories for the different sizes and types of sauces. These categories were connected to their respective variety, so we made it possible to switch between sizes of the same product by just clicking a button on the Product page.
Their new site had a huge increase in site speed from the previous one.
Customer experience became much easier and as such abandoned cart rate decreased.
